Donations from people like you help us to achieve our mission - providing hygiene products and dignity to those in our communities that need it
Financial donations help us keep running and enables us to do important things like commission research into hygiene poverty in New Zealand or purchase products we can give out directly or via our partners like the City Missions! All of our team are volunteers so your donation goes directly helping us achieve our mission.
Soap For Society is a registered charity and all financial donations over $5.00 qualify for a tax rebate with the IRD. A receipt will be sent to you via email - keep this in a safe place!

Product Donations
What products can I donate?
While everything and anything is appreciated, the Missions have expressed a particular need for the items below:
Hand sanitiser and face masks
Bladder control products
Natural lice shampoo
Laundry powder
Sanitary items
Razors
Shaving foam
Deodorants
Shampoo & Conditioner
Body wash
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Moisturiser
However, anything will be gratefully received from combs, hairbands, face wipes, sunscreen and even lipsticks.
Things to know:
Start collecting products - try shampoo, body wash, deodorant, soap, shaving products, tampons, wipes, hand sanitiser - the kinds of things you can't imagine living without.
Don't forget hotel products or miniatures. These are smaller and lighter so can be carried around if a person doesn't have a home.
Products need to be unopened, to comply with health and safety rules. Please do not donate nail polish or nail polish remover or perfume because these are solvents.

During a collection campaign we work with our partners to collect products that can be distributed to the community.

Items can be dropped off at Matt Forsman Hair in Wellington City between 10am - 7pm Tuesday - Friday and 10am - 5pm Saturday.

Items can be dropped off at Alexander Pharmacy in Wellington City between 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday.

Items can be dropped off at Wellington City Mission in Newtown between 9am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday and 10:30am - 3:30pm Friday.

Donating Products By Mail
Once you've gathered a stash of products, put your products in a box and label the box 'Soap For Society' on each side. Or if you’re buying online just write the mission’s address in your delivery destination, with their phone number.
